What a cute little place! Run by a nonprofit out of a restored 1930s theater. Tickets and concessions are purchased in the lobby and the prices are great, especially compared to chain theaters. A small interior space has bathrooms and then right into the main theater room. The seats are comfy, although don't expect any leather recliners type set up here. And the screen and sound system are a little older but still provide for a great movie going experience. This place screens two movies at a time and has limited showings but it's a great place and definitely worth supporting by going to see a show.

Neat old restored theater run by a nonprofit. Tickets and concessions are very reasonably priced. I feel much better paying $9 to see a movie here than giving AMC $15. It's in a neat little walkable town square area. I saw the Oscar nominated short films there.

This wonderful cinema is always our first choice for seeing a variety of films, including contemporary films! In addition to the large screen in the original historic space, a smaller screen in the modern, plush screening room allows two films to run at the same time. A cheerful and helpful staff will ring up your ticket and snacks all at once and then direct you to your movie. You will sit in a clean and comfortable theater with generous seat spacing and leg room. The art deco, historic building adds to the charm and appeal, and nearby restaurants are great for meeting family and friends before or after the movie.

We went as part of the Wild Rumpus to see the free short. I loved the fact that they offered this and their concession stand was efficient. My only complaint is because of the old style seating the rows were narrow. I would love to go back for a full-length movie viewing.

Saw the excellent movie Oppenheimer this past Thursday. I can't imagine seeing this movie or other potential Academy Award winning movies in your newer cookie cutter bland newer theater. This beautifully restored jewel of a theater is worth visiting just to look inside.

The city of Greenbelt and the Friends of Greenbelt Theatre have beautifully restored this lovely deco movie theatre from 1937. Big screen, delicious locally made snacks, and a mixture of new and classic movies. One of the beautiful old cinemas of the DC area.
